Mombasa Streets is the second campaign level of Halo 3: ODST, and serves as "the hub", an open-world environment used to access flashback missions. It is set in the city of New Mombasa. Basically ODST takes place about 2/5 through halo 2. At the end of the earth missions in halo 2, a covenant cruiser makes a slipspace jump inside of the city, taking in ember clad with it. This is the same cruiser you see making the jump at the opening scene of ODST.
