Synology Assistant EXE does not find the NAS, the web assistant (find.synology.com) finds it after several failed attempts. However, I have set a fixed IP address in my router and can sign in to the NAS admin every time via a bookmark in Chrome. All my network attached devices also find the NAS no problem.

In a detail display of the Network part of the file explorer display, Windows says it uses SSDP to discover the NAS server. I have no idea if that's what I should be using (or how to change it if it's not right).

I recently removed SMBv1 from them. A third computer can see the NAS as I have not uninstalled SMB1 from that yet.
